Shhh. I am the Presidentess of a secret island nation. My country is so advanced, we have long rid ourselves of health issues, power struggles, arms races ('cause arms don't race that fast), animal abuse, and, of course, bacon. Now is not the time to withhold all that I know, and so I blog.

The Beauty Myth

What is beautiful?  It’s a sense more than a substance, exploited by the bazillion dollar industry and backed by a few less “experts”.  The unconscious message addressed to us all is that we have to pay, and only then will we be more beautiful.  Surely everyone knows it’s a money scam.  You know, except every woman in the modern world.

Beauty, a giant magnet of power and seduction, has its mysteries interpreted by oracles and scientists every millennia since Cleopatra loved her lead-based eyeliner.  From my career, which teetered on the beauty industry at times, and after countless conversations with men and women around the world, I have acquired a few trinkets of insight on the subject.

First, I want to draw your attention to one thing:  Notice how it’s easier to find beauty in children more than adults, puppies more than dogs, kittens more than cats, and forests more than cities.  Nature and youth is abundant with powerful life-force energy.  During the ageing process, our access to this elixir diminishes, unless we harness its power through choices that we make in our life.  Which illustrates an insight:  Beauty seems to exist within things that are most connected to the life force energy of our planet – and this, by the way, is why you should find spirulina the most beautiful thing in the world!

 Beauty can be blind though.

There is one exception: the object of your desire – who you find beautiful in other words– might be somebody karmically connected to you. At least this explains the caper behind why my sister would marry such a doofus.  I need an explanation.  Or peyote.

Beauty is a quality that we can enhance within ourselves, just like television commercials promise.  But – and this is a bit of a bummer for beauty companies - we can’t generate beauty by purchasing a product, that’s all.

Beauty, rather, is a product of the way we live our life.

See my next post to discover 10 things that we can do to enhance our beauty.
