Road Testing Sacred Meal and Pulse
After enjoying both Sacred Meal and Pulse for more than a year, I found both sacred meals phenomenal. As for the companies that represent them, well, let’s say they are like yin and yang. Here I road test Sacred Meal and Pulse, as well as their vehicles - the way their company offers the meals to you, the “consumer”. What would Yahdoh say about the word consumer. I'm sure he would change it to something much more interesting like .... Oh I tried to think of what he would say but I can't. Strong enough in me the force is not.
Sacred Meal
Who Makes It: Yahdoh from Abundant Garden
Where: North Queensland Australia
Varieties: Sancti-Phi, Magni-Phi, Deia-Phi, Carosette, Phi-Pi, Phi-Numint, CherryshH, and Phi-V
Quantity per Bag: 440g or 15.5oz.
Shipping: Everywhere. If you are outside the country where Sacred Meal is produced you may want to check with customs before ordering.
How Can I Buy It: Through www.abundantgarden.com or in Australia: 1300 76 22 92
My Experience: The different varieties are very distinct and fresh-tasting. The meal looks like little pellets of soft, slightly compacted dried fruit, nuts and seeds the size of a child’s thumb nail. There is no aftertaste or furry mouth-feel after eating, though I found it difficult to stop eating it. I used to work long hours as a spa manager and I would keep Sacred Meal in a small container in my pocket. I ate it when I felt tired or stressed. Afterwards, I felt grounded, clear-headed and energetic. I loved exploring the different varieties. Their names were mysterious which gave it an air of excitement when I ordered a new flavour for the first time. They always arrived fresh as if they were just made.
Cost: Retail: AUS$ 39.60 (US$ 32.30 aprox)
Companion Price*: AUS$ 29 (US$ 23.60 aprox)
Want it Rolled: Add AUS$ 3
Want it in bars: Add AUS$ 3
Are you an elderly person or pensioner? AUS$ 29
Comments: *Companion Price means that people pay a one time fee of AUS$ 40 (US$32 aprox) and you must order at least three bags per month. I became a companion and loved three bags showing up every month. I changed the combination regularly. I loved the companion agreement: A simple page with a few bulleted agreements and some legal terms for product return etc. All of the agreements were similar in tone; one of them was this: I agree to help others become aware of the beauty of Life, to know that all of Life is Sacred, not just the meals. Agreements are sometimes a pain, but what about agreements like this?!
I love how Abundant Garden financially considers pensioners and the elderly. Abundant garden is a small business. They maintain the quality of their Sacred Meals. I feel the spirit and love in the food. The producers and the business model match the product.
Pulse
Who Makes It: Unknown people who work with Don Tolman.
Where: In an unknown place in the United States and in Australia.
Varieties: Blueberry, Cherry, Choc, Cranberry, Mango, Original.
Quantity per Bag: 8oz (226g)
Shipping: Everywhere. If you are outside the country where Pulse is produced you may want to check with customs before ordering.
How Can I Buy It: Through www.dontolmaninternational.com or www.thedontolman.com
My Experience: Pulse tastes like a luxury sacred food. I do close my eyes when I eat it, just to take it all in. My friend Dale, who has eaten pulse as long as I have, often wonders aloud why Pulse made in the US has an underlying taste of apple cinnamon. Strangely, I know what he means. Pulse tastes sweeter in the mouth than Sacred Meal. People who are used to sweet foods would enjoy it. The texture is similar to Sacred Meal. You can see the clusters of whole fruits, seeds or nuts. I eat less Pulse at one sitting than I do Sacred Meal. It tastes more condensed in flavour. More KaPow! than dreamy. I love all of the flavours, especially Blueberry, Cranberry, Mango and Original.
Cost: Retail AUS$ 25 (or US$ 18)
Discount “Ringleader” price*: US$ 14.40.
28 bags of Pulse: AUD$ 595. That’s AUD$ 21 per bag.
Cleanseme 2 pack: AUD$ 62.
Comments: * To be a Ringleader is, politely, weird. I hope Don didn’t come up with this idea otherwise I’d be disappointed. He wants at least 100 people to pay just under US$ 100 PER MONTH to become a ringleader through his website. For this price – about US$ 1200 per year - you get a few web-based perks; basically information. Frankly, and I shout here, that’s SO MUCH! I have never seen a website demand such a gob smacking amount to access information. I can’t help but wonder what the internet founders, who gave their internet technology away to humanity for free, would think. You may not have noticed, but this absolutely irked me. I haven’t written about Don Tolman yet, but I will. He’s a genius. I would trust the lives of my children in his hands. Though he may be an Einstein, he is certainly no Gandhi. To gather information for this article I was asked to pay US$ 35 for an email consultation (one question only please) or US$ 150 for a fifteen minute phone conversation. Hmmm.
Conclusion
I prefer Sacred Meal to Pulse. Though they both taste amazing, Abundant Garden is a more transparent and energetically brighter company.
Gram for gram, Pulse is nearly 52% more expensive than Sacred Meal bought at the companion rate. I wont compare prices of Pulse bought using the Ringleader discount because when you add the US $100 per month ringleader cost to get the 20% discount on Pulse, the price per gram is embarrassingly high.
I would also not buy Pulse for this reason: I don’t know who makes it or what they are like, and the business model is opaque and seemingly greedy. The product doesn’t suit the business.
I hope that the formulae for how to make it will be revealed in a leaks website such as this one, so that we all can lovingly prepare Pulse in conditions similar to those at Abundant Garden.
So dear readers: Lets find this Pulse formulae and share it with the world.
Now excuse me I have to go and attend my Idealists Anonymous group and get some support.
